And the Monsoon came indeed!
Our first day of shooting has finally arrived and right on cue, like a veteran actor hitting the mark – so has the rain! After days of sweltering heat and burning sunshine, the monsoon has blessed our opening day. The torrential downpour delayed proceedings by almost four hours. We finally got going once blue skies pierced through the clouds. I have conflicting interests with the farmers of Punjab. We don’t want rain and they cannot do without it. There’s no doubt whatsoever, their needs are far more important than mine!
I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce Kam Kalsi, one of the Filmlore photographers and the talent behind the images in this particular post. Kam is regular part of the production team along with Raj Dhesi who unfortunately couldn’t make it to this project. Kam will be taking more fantastic images and behind the scenes video for your viewing pleasure throughout the schedule of this project.
We had a fantastic day and particularly evening of shooting, with a crowd of over 250 people lined up to see the hugely popular artist K.S Makhan perform for our video. Completely different experience to shooting in the UK, with ‘Vanity Vans’ (trailers) and Police security escorts! We have one more day of shooting for this project tomorrow if all goes well.
Here are a couple more exclusive images from the day’s shooting and I’ll look forward to posting more material tomorrow. Let’s hope the rain Gods spare us for one day!
